The Veterans Memorial Building at 209 Surf Street, the Morro Bay Vets Hall, is a central civic event venue with a 2,200-square-foot assembly hall, a stage, ceiling sound system, wooden floors, a podium, and audiovisual equipment, seating about 300 for chair events or 160 at tables. It hosts city meetings, concerts, banquets, flower shows, dances, fundraisers, and community classes, with a complete kitchen and ample parking, and a clear view of the Rock from the end of the street. Bookings run through City of Morro Bay Recreation Services.
