Practical Magic 2 runs afternoon showings at the Bay Theatre in downtown Morro Bay.
Twenty-eight years after the original, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest reprise the Owens witches, with Joey King and Maisie Williams joining the family and Susanne Bier directing from Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic. The multigenerational clan, cursed to be loveless for centuries, sets out to break the spell by facing the family’s darkest secrets. Not yet rated at press time, 1 hour 50 minutes. The matinee is the flexible slot: out by early evening with the whole night ahead. Saturday, September 19 adds a lights-up Witch-Crafternoon at 1:00 PM alongside the regular shows; that one has its own listing.
