Practical Magic 2 takes the evening slot at the Bay Theatre in downtown Morro Bay.

Twenty-eight years after the original, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest reprise the Owens witches, with Joey King and Maisie Williams joining the family and Susanne Bier directing from Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic. The multigenerational clan, cursed to be loveless for centuries, sets out to break the spell by facing the family’s darkest secrets. Not yet rated at press time, 1 hour 50 minutes. The 7:00 show is the back half of a dinner-and-a-movie night, and nearly everything worth eating sits within a few blocks of the marquee.
