Morro Strand State Beach runs roughly three miles up the coast from town toward Cayucos, a wide, flat, walkable stretch favored for beachcombing, kite flying, fishing, and shorebird watching. It is one of the primary outdoor venues on the north side of the coverage zone and a regular setting for beach-based programming and seasonal wildlife.
