Roald Dahl’s kid-friendly spook show gets the single screen for one Halloween afternoon: Anjelica Huston and her massive coven convene at a seaside hotel, and a small boy has to avoid being seen, heard, or turned into a mouse by her child-eating mavens. Nicolas Roeg, better known for grown-up art films, made something families can enjoy and recoil from in equal measure, and a 1:00 PM showtime on Halloween itself leaves the whole evening for trick-or-treating. Rated PG, 1 hour 31 minutes, $10, and the theatre’s Weekend Special before The Social Reckoning takes the evening.
