The Taming at By the Sea Productions

September 6 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm PDT
$20

By the Sea Productions stages Lauren Gunderson’s comedy The Taming for one weekend.

Morro Bay’s community theater company opens its fall with The Taming, Lauren Gunderson’s all-female political comedy that locks a beauty queen, a liberal blogger, and a conservative Senate aide in a hotel room and lets the Founding Fathers’ ghosts loose on the argument. Gunderson has ranked among the most-produced playwrights in American theater for years, and this fast, sharp script is a big reason why. Three performances only, September 4 through 6.

Where: By the Sea Productions, 545 Shasta Ave, Morro Bay
When: Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, 2026 [confirm showtimes against the ticket page]
Who: By the Sea Productions
