On Morro Bay Boulevard. The Cauldron is a monthly community ceremony at the Goddess Temple Central Coast, and the June gathering lands on the Summer Solstice with a fire ceremony and shared potluck on Saturday evening, June 20, from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. The solstice edition moves to Saturday night specifically to mark the longest day of the year, with a theme the temple is calling Celebration of the Light.
The gathering centers on a cauldron fire ceremony built around the five elements of earth, air, fire, water, and ether. Participants step into the circle and bring offerings to place into the cauldron, with the evening framed as a chance to release what no longer serves and call in love and unity, individually and as a community. It’s a participatory evening rather than a performance, led by Senior Priestess and Temple Founder Charlotte Eléa.
This is an outdoor evening, so layers are the move once the sun drops and the marine air settles in. Light snacks are provided, and attendees are asked to bring a dish to share for the potluck. You’re welcome to bring a drum or rattle, your own offerings for the fire, and songs or chants to add to the circle. The whole family is welcome, all ages.
The event is free of charge, with donations gratefully received. RSVP through my805tix.com so the temple can plan for numbers. The Goddess Temple sits right on Morro Bay Boulevard in the heart of downtown, an easy walk from the rest of the evening’s options nearby.
