The theatre’s standard schedule runs showings Friday, Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons and evenings, with Sunday matinees, and the theatre dark on Mondays and Thursdays; check the show page for this run’s confirmed showtimes.

A long run means no rush and plenty of chances, which makes this the easy family outing of the August calendar: a matinee after a morning on the beach, or an evening show with dinner downtown on either side. For a movie built for the big screen, the walkable hometown theatre is the way to see it. Nearly three weeks also means the run spans two Monday Specials and a weekend matinee, so the marquee stays busy around it.

The Bay Theatre is Morro Bay’s single-screen downtown movie house at 464 Morro Bay Blvd, a block off the Embarcadero, where a night at the movies still comes with a real marquee and walkable dinner options on either side of the show. The theatre is closed Thursdays.
