The Social Reckoning takes the evening slot at the Bay Theatre in downtown Morro Bay.

Aaron Sorkin writes and directs a companion piece to The Social Network: the true story of Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison), a young Facebook engineer who enlists Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White) to blow the whistle on the platform’s most guarded secrets. Jeremy Strong and Bill Burr round out a cast built for Sorkin dialogue, in a timely account of social media’s great and terrible power. Rated R, 1 hour 42 minutes, a six-day run over Halloween weekend. Halloween-night showing included; costumes at the movies are a Bay Theatre tradition of one, and you could start it.
