🍿 Sense & Sensibility at the Bay Theatre (evening showing)

Sense & Sensibility takes the evening slot at the Bay Theatre in downtown Morro Bay.

Focus Features and Working Title take a fresh run at Jane Austen with Georgia Oakley’s Sense & Sensibility, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as the Dashwood sisters. This adaptation keeps its focus on the bond between the two romantically entangled sisters rather than on the men who orbit them, which is the smartest possible way to make a two-hundred-year-old story feel current. Rated PG, 2 hours 12 minutes, and the longest run of the fall at nearly two weeks. The 7:00 show pairs with dinner on Main Street or the waterfront first; the Monday dark nights belong to the Monday Specials, this run alongside Pan’s Labyrinth and Monty Python.

Where: Bay Theatre, 464 Morro Bay Blvd, Morro Bay
When: Friday, October 16 through Wednesday, October 28; Friday, Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:00 PM; no Sunday evening shows; dark Mondays and Thursdays
Cost: $10
