A Friday bonus set with Rachel Santa Cruz and Hunter Takao at Schooners

In Cayucos, up the coast. Rachel Santa Cruz and Hunter Takao play a special Friday bonus set at Schooners on September 4, from 1 to 4 PM on the oceanfront patio above Cayucos Beach. Beachside Live is usually a weekend affair, so a Friday show is off the normal pattern, kicking off the Labor Day weekend early with an afternoon set by the water. The holiday-weekend timing lands right in the warmest, clearest stretch of the Central Coast year.

Schooners runs its live music on the beachfront patio a few steps from the Cayucos Pier, sand right there, full bar and menu on hand, all ages welcome. An afternoon set means catching the music with the sun high and the beach in full swing, a mellow, sunlit way to start a long weekend rather than close out a day.

Cayucos is about ten minutes up Highway 1 from Morro Bay, an easy drive for a Friday afternoon by the water. Patio seating goes to whoever gets there first, so arriving before the 1 PM start is the move on a holiday-weekend Friday.
