The Pinedorado 5K Fun Run opens Cambria’s Labor Day weekend, and Morro Bay always shows up for it.

Cambria’s Pinedorado weekend starts with running shoes: the 5K Fun Run goes off Saturday morning before the parade takes Main Street, with proceeds supporting Coast Union High School athletics. It’s a genuine community run, walkers welcome, kids welcome, and enough Morro Bay entries every year that the finish line has a distinctly bay-side accent. Run it, then stay for the parade, the Warbird flyover, and the Pinedorado grounds; it’s the Central Coast’s best excuse for a Saturday up Highway 1.
