Morro Bay High School holds its Class of 2026 commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 4, at the campus on Atascadero Road. Family and friends line the bleachers, names get read, caps go up, and another set of seniors moves on from MBHS into whatever comes next.

For the rest of town, the practical note is traffic. Atascadero Road and the surrounding blocks get busy through the afternoon and evening. If you’re trying to get from North Morro Bay to downtown or out to Highway 1 during commencement hours, give yourself extra time, or consider a different route. Local restaurants will be busy with celebrating families too, so reservations are a good call.
