Morro Bay Comedy Night with Jeremiah Nation

Cen Cal Comedy brings a free stand-up night to The Nauti Anchor with headliner Jeremiah Nation

In North Morro Bay. Morro Bay Comedy Night returns to The Nauti Anchor on Friday, July 10, with headliner Jeremiah Nation, a free hour of stand-up from the Cen Cal Comedy crew. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show runs 7:30 to 8:30, so the smart move is to come early, claim a seat, and order off the full kitchen and the deep list of beers on tap before the comedy starts. General admission is free, and it is just a chair, first-come, first-served, with VIP tables available for purchase if you want a guaranteed spot up front.

Jeremiah Nation headlines, a comic whose high-octane, in-your-face delivery and irreverent satire land somewhere in the adult-fringe corner of stand-up. He has played Laughs Unlimited, The Comedy Store, and The Well Comedy Club, and his special “You Dumb B!tch” is up on YouTube. Off the stage, he is a father, grandfather, and Marine Corps veteran, which gives the loveable-hate persona its edge. Tony Martins and Trent Babb feature on the bill ahead of him.

The venue is the spot longtime locals still know as the Foghorn Brewhouse on Main Street, now operating as The Nauti Anchor, keeping the full kitchen and the craft beer lineup that made the room a North Morro Bay regular. It is a comfortable, casual room for a comedy night, close enough to the stage that the crowd is part of the show. This is mature content and an 18-and-over night, so leave the kids at home, and no pets please.

Show up hungry, thirsty, and ready to laugh, and get there by 6:30 for a good seat. For more comedy, live music, and nights out around the bay, see what is coming up on the event calendar.
