Mark Mushkat leads this one, starting on the sea bluffs above Spooner’s Cove, working the rocky shoreline for sea ducks, shorebirds, and raptors, then turning inland along Islay Creek into the pine-dotted campgrounds for passerines and woodpeckers. One to two gentle, ADA-accessible miles through the park locals treat as a backyard, and visitors drive hours for. This trip is pitched at intermediate and experienced birders with eBird accounts.
