On Main Street in Morro Bay. The Molly Ringwald Project throws an 80s Halloween party at The Siren on Saturday, October 31, doors at 8 PM and the show at 8:30. Tickets run $25 to $30 through the venue’s ticketing. Halloween on a Saturday plus the Central Coast’s busiest 80s party band is about as sure a bet as the fall calendar offers.
The band has kept a fully booked Central Coast schedule since 2012 on an 80s catalog that pulls dancers from 18 to 70, the same act that headlined the town’s 4th of July festival stage this summer. On Halloween the formula gets its best possible setting: a costumed room, a dance-floor venue, and a songbook everyone knows by heart. Expect the synth hits, the hair-metal singalongs, and a costume contest’s worth of neon in the crowd.
The Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music, small, dark, and close to the stage, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night. The show is 21 and over per the venue’s evening policy. Halloween-on-a-Saturday shows sell out, full stop, so tickets ahead and an early arrival are both worth it.
