Earn a Junior Ranger badge at Spooner’s Cove

In Montaña de Oro State Park. Kids ages 7 to 12 can earn a California State Park Junior Ranger badge multiple days a week through the summer. Drop in from 2 to 3 PM at the Junior Ranger table at Spooner’s Cove, across the street from the historic Spooner Ranch House.

Pick up a craft or activity, work through it with help from a State Park interpreter, and earn the badge. Free, all children accompanied by an adult. Parking at Spooner’s Cove is free.

Pairs naturally with a half-day at the cove and the tidepools. For everything else worth your time around the bay, check the event calendar.
