Jody Mulgrew on Taco Temple’s Sunday patio

Jody Mulgrew is a Taco Temple Sunday-patio regular, on the rotation across the summer and into fall. He’s been working the room long enough to know which song lands during chips-and-salsa and which one lands during dessert.

Taco Temple is the Cal-Mex restaurant at 2680 Main that started in Cayucos and moved up the coast, the kind of place people drive in from Bakersfield and Fresno on purpose. The salsa bar is its own argument. The agave-wine margaritas convert skeptics. Grandma’s carrot cake sells out; ask early.
