Five to eight PM, over 20 local wineries pour alongside six craft breweries, food vendors serve bites worth lining up for, and live music sets the vibe with Morro Rock in the background.
The Central Coast wine and craft beer scene punches well above its weight, and an event like this is the easiest way to taste your way across it without driving up and down Highway 1. Most of the wineries pouring are family-run operations from Paso Robles, Edna Valley, and Arroyo Grande Valley. The breweries are the Central Coast craft brewers you’d want to find anyway.
The reason to come, though, is the cause. Project Surf Camp uses surfing and ocean activities to build self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy in individuals with special needs. It’s one of Morro Bay’s signature local nonprofits, and the camps genuinely change lives. Buying a glass at Grapes & Hops is one of the better-feeling drink purchases you’ll make this year.
Tickets are $35 in advance, $45 at the door. Coleman Park is at 101 Coleman Drive, right at the base of Morro Rock with bay views in every direction.
