The Friends of El Moro Elfin Forest hold their annual celebration at the Red Barn, with a biologist’s talk on local bees.

The people who keep the boardwalk standing and lead the monthly walks gather once a year, and this is it: Saturday, September 26 at the Red Barn in Los Osos, with a biologist’s presentation on the local bees that keep the preserve’s flowers going. It’s the easiest way to meet the volunteers behind one of the back bay’s best natural areas, and to find out how to become one.
