Digger takes the evening slot at the Bay Theatre in downtown Morro Bay.
The evening run of the fall’s strangest big swing: Tom Cruise under the direction of Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant), playing the most powerful man on earth racing to prove he’s humanity’s savior before his own disaster swallows everything. John Goodman, Jesse Plemons, Riz Ahmed, and Sandra Hüller round out a cast built for a satire that its own studio calls a fever dream. Not yet rated at press time, 2 hours 8 minutes. Dinner on Main Street or the waterfront first; the walk to the marquee is the intermission this movie won’t give you.
