🎶 Live Music: Cigar Box Ray at Tognazzini’s Dockside

Cigar Box Ray holds Wednesday afternoons on the Tognazzini’s Dockside Too patio through the end of the year.

The standing Wednesday slot on the working waterfront: Cigar Box Ray plays from 3:00 PM to closing on the all-outdoor fish market patio by the North T-pier, with the boats coming and going right off the deck, no cover, and the counter serving through the whole set. Late lunch, early dinner, or one unhurried drink with the harbor in view; the Wednesday habit takes care of itself.

The performer is worth knowing. Cigar Box Ray is Ray Riordan, a Central Coast fixture who plays instruments he built himself, cigar box guitars and ukuleles crafted by hand, working from a setlist of more than 700 songs spanning the 1960s to today. Requests are a sport here; with a catalog that deep, he’ll probably know it.
