In Cayucos, up the coast. The fall edition of the Cayucos Antique Street Faire runs Sunday, October 18, from 7 AM to 3 PM along Ocean Avenue, from Cayucos Drive to E Street. Vendors fill the closed-down street with antiques, collectibles, and vintage finds, with a food court set up along the route, one of the twice-yearly days when the whole beach town turns into an open-air treasure hunt.
The 7 AM start is not a typo, and the serious hunters honor it: the best finds move in the first hours, when dealers and early birds work the tables with coffee in hand. The rest of the day settles into a browsing pace, and the setting does half the work, a walkable beach-town main street a block off the sand, with the pier at one end for a mid-faire break.
Admission and parking are free, and Cayucos sits about ten minutes up Highway 1 from Morro Bay, an easy Sunday drive. Bring cash for the vendors who prefer it, a tote for the haul, and layers for the coastal morning that warms into afternoon. The faire’s spring and fall editions bookend the Cayucos event season, and the fall date tends to run a touch quieter, which the browsing crowd counts as a feature.
