Rayford Brothers take the Sunday sunset set at Schooners

In Cayucos, up the coast. Rayford Brothers play the Sunday evening set at Schooners on August 30, from 5 to 8 PM on the oceanfront patio above Cayucos Beach as part of the venue’s Beachside Live series. Landing on Labor Day weekend, this one falls in the stretch of early fall that regulars know as the warmest, clearest run of the coastal year, prime conditions for a sunset show with the ocean as the backdrop.

Schooners programs live music on its beachfront patio all weekend long through the season, and this evening set is one the venue flags as a highlight. The patio sits a few steps from the Cayucos Pier, the sand right there, with a full bar and menu and all ages welcome. It is a fitting way to spend a holiday-weekend Sunday evening on the North Coast.

Cayucos is about ten minutes up Highway 1 from Morro Bay, an easy drive for a sunset set by the water. Expect a holiday-weekend crowd, so arriving early to claim patio seating is the move once the beach empties out toward evening.
