In Montaña de Oro State Park. State Parks Volunteer Sally leads a 1.5-mile native plant walk along the Coon Creek riparian corridor at the far south end of the park.
The walk covers how plant communities thrive in the central coast and maritime environments, with hands-on tips for identifying species, plus a bit of the canyon’s history along the way.
Meet at the southernmost parking lot. Wear good walking shoes, layers, bring water. Free; $10 day-use parking applies. See what else is on around Morro Bay on the event calendar.
