State Parks Volunteer Sharon leads a guided beach walk at Morro Strand State Beach, focused on what gets washed up along the sandy shoreline. Compare fresh wrack-line finds with items deposited at the previous high tide, learn how to identify what you’re looking at, and pick up the backstories behind the shells, kelp, and odds and ends.
Easy pace, two hours, all ages welcome. Meet at the picnic tables next to the campground kiosk off Yerba Buena Street. Wear layers; the marine layer is part of the experience.
Free, rain cancels. For more weekend ideas and live music, take a look at the event calendar.
