The Siren live music venue at 900 Main Street in downtown Morro Bay, California

Modern Love stages a David Bowie 80th birthday bash at The Siren in the middle of Bird Festival week.

Billed by the venue as a Bowie 80th birthday celebration, Modern Love is a full-production tribute that works through the eras, Ziggy to Let’s Dance and beyond, with frontman Damon Taylor Frick carrying the tone and phrasing and a band of seasoned players behind him. It lands on the Saturday of the Morro Bay Bird Festival, when the town is full of out-of-town visitors looking for a night out after a day on the estuary.

When: Saturday, January 16, 2027, 8:00 PM
