Habitat Walk: Marina Boardwalk Salt Marsh

Biologist Faylla Chapman leads a free salt marsh habitat walk from the Marina Boardwalk in Morro Bay State Park.

A slow mile through the salt marsh and mudflats off the Marina Boardwalk, focused on the estuary itself: how it formed, how it keeps changing, and how the marsh plants feed the migratory birds, marine mammals, and everything else that depends on this water. Flat, boardwalk-friendly, and open to all experience levels; it’s the back bay explained by someone who reads it fluently.
