🍿 Monday Special: Stage Door at the Bay Theatre

September 14 @ 5:30 pm - 7:05 pm PDT
$25

The Bay Theatre screens the 1937 classic Stage Door as a one-night benefit for By the Sea Productions.

Gregory La Cava’s Stage Door is one of the fastest-talking films of its era: a New York boarding house full of aspiring actresses elbowing each other toward the spotlight, with Katharine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers leading the ensemble and a young Lucille Ball stealing scenes years before television made her a household name. Nearly ninety years on, the dialogue still lands, which makes it the right fundraiser for By the Sea Productions, the company that keeps working actors on a local stage.

Where: Bay Theatre, 464 Morro Bay Blvd, Morro Bay
When: Monday, September 14, 2026; doors 4:30 PM, film 5:30 PM
Who: Bay Theatre Monday Specials series
Why: Proceeds benefit By the Sea Productions, Morro Bay’s community theater company
Cost: $25
Good to know: Doors open a full hour early; beer and wine available for purchase
