On Main Street in Morro Bay. Throttle plays an evening of hard rock and classic rock covers at The Siren on Saturday, August 8 at 7:30 PM, closing out a day that started with a free Quadratones matinee in the same room. The covers-night formula is durable for a reason: familiar songs played loud in a small room, a dance floor that knows every word, and no homework required.
Hard rock covers reward exactly what the Siren offers, volume, proximity, and a crowd that came to participate rather than observe. Expect the arena canon scaled to a bar stage, which is honestly where a lot of those songs sound best. The set spans the classic rock canon from the 70s through the hair-metal years, built for a room that sings the guitar parts too.
The Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music, small, dark, and close to the stage, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night. Shows are 21 and over per the venue’s evening policy, and seating is first come, so arriving early gets a table.
