A Labor Day soul set with Leslie and the Soul Shakers at Schooners

In Cayucos, up the coast. Leslie and the Soul Shakers play a special Labor Day Monday set at Schooners on September 7, from 1 to 4 PM on the oceanfront patio above Cayucos Beach. A Monday show is a holiday bonus, off the usual weekend Beachside Live pattern, capping the long weekend with an afternoon of soul by the water. The early-September timing sits right in the warmest, clearest run of the coastal year.

Schooners runs its live music on the beachfront patio a few steps from the Cayucos Pier, sand right there, full bar and menu on hand, all ages welcome. A soul band on a holiday Monday afternoon is exactly the kind of easygoing, danceable set the beachfront patio was made for, a good way to stretch the last day of the long weekend.

Cayucos is about ten minutes up Highway 1 from Morro Bay, an easy drive for a Labor Day afternoon by the water. Patio seating is first come, so arriving ahead of the 1 PM start is the smart move on a holiday when the beach is busy.
