On Main Street in Morro Bay. The Sinners play a free Labor Day weekend show at The Siren on Sunday, September 6 at 7:30 PM, a no-cover holiday-weekend night from a band with real miles on it. The six-piece has played together for more than 20 years, mixing rhythm and blues, rock, and what they call down-and-dirty storytelling into danceable sets, with opening credits for Cold Blood and Belinda Carlisle along the way.
A Sunday night show works differently on a holiday weekend: with Monday off, the crowd stays, and the Siren’s dance floor gets its full due. Twenty years of shared bandstand time shows up in the pocket, the transitions, and the way a long set breathes, which is exactly what you want from a band whose job is keeping a room moving for three hours.
The Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music, small, dark, and close to the stage, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night. The show is 21 and over per the venue’s evening policy. Free shows on holiday weekends fill the room early, so claiming a table before the first set is the move.
