On Main Street in Morro Bay. Mini Nova plays a free show at The Siren on Wednesday, August 26 at 7:30 PM, and the lineup is the story: the band features Kenny Lee Lewis of the Steve Miller Band and Scott Martin of WAR, players with genuine classic-rock and Latin-funk pedigree working a Latin rock and soul jazz set. No cover at the door for musicianship of this caliber is one of the better deals of the Morro Bay summer.
The same lineup drew a full room at Sea Pines earlier this summer, so local audiences already know what the band delivers: deep-pocket grooves, seasoned soloing, and the easy command that comes from decades on major stages. A 90-minute midweek set keeps it tight, in and out with the whole night still ahead of you.
The Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music, small, dark, and close to the stage, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night. The show is 21 and over per the venue’s evening policy. Free shows at this level fill early, and the room is small, so arriving well before 7:30 is the honest advice.
