On Main Street in Morro Bay. The Spinouts, a young rock and roll band out of Los Angeles, play two free sets at The Siren on Wednesday, June 24, starting at 7:30 PM. The band traces back to a Redondo Beach high school music class and a shared Led Zeppelin streak, and the songs run straight down that guitar-rock line, loud, unfussy, and built for a room like this one. No cover at the door.
The Siren is the Main Street venue that carries most of the in-town live music load, a small, dark room that puts the band close to the crowd and keeps the volume honest. A free Wednesday show is a good excuse to catch a touring act mid-week without planning around it, and the kind of low-stakes night out the venue does well. Doors and dinner open at 7 PM, so you can grab a seat and a bite before the first set.
The kitchen runs wing night on Wednesdays, so the food side of the evening is covered alongside the full bar. The show is 21 and over, in keeping with the venue’s usual evening shows. Arriving early is the move for a free midweek set, since seating is first-come and the room fills once the music starts.
