Frankie Paredes plays Sunday-afternoon sets on Taco Temple’s outdoor patio across the summer and into fall.

Taco Temple is the Cal-Mex restaurant at 2680 Main, the destination spot people drive in from Bakersfield and Fresno for. Salsa bar is its own argument, the agave-wine margaritas convert skeptics, and Grandma’s carrot cake sells out.
