SUMMARY:Nearby: Western Snowy Plovers and Fellow Shorebirds Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:A Morro Coast Audubon shorebird walk along the dunes and pullouts of Estero Bluffs State Park\, just north of Cayucos.\nFederally threatened Western Snowy Plovers are the headline species\, but the morning takes in the whole shorebird community feeding and nesting along this stretch of coast. \nEasy 1 to 1.5 miles\, partly on soft sand. Not ADA accessible\, no restrooms on the route. \nLimited to 12 participants by registration. Sturdy shoes\, binoculars\, layers. Look for leader Sharon’s bright orange Jeep at the meeting point. \nTo see what else is happening around town\, browse the calendar. \nphoto credit: https://www.morrocoastaudubon.org/2026/05/mcas-field-trip-jun-12-western-snowy.html
