Scott Cooper and the Rosebud Band play The Siren on Friday\, October 2 at 7:30 PM\, with a cover of just $7 to $10 at the door. Cooper is a Central Coast fixture whose bands work the roots-and-jam territory where the Grateful Dead songbook meets original material\, sets built for dancing that stretch out when the room is right. \nA single-digit cover on a Friday night is the Siren keeping its local-music promise: the touring names get the big tickets\, and the working Central Coast bands keep the room affordable in between. October Fridays downtown have their own rhythm\, the summer crowds gone\, the regulars back in their spots\, and a band like this one soundtracking the shift. Cooper’s Dead-leaning sets reward dancers and listeners equally\, loose where it counts and tight underneath. \nThe Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music\, small\, dark\, and close to the stage\, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night.
