Different player\, same policy: music with the meal\, no ticket\, no fuss. \nWhere: Tognazzini’s Dockside Too\, 1235 Embarcadero\, Morro Bay\nWhen: Daily\, 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM\, through December 31 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas; some days one act plays straight through the afternoon)\nGood to know: All seating is outdoors and first come; the patio is dog friendly; schedule provided by the venue and subject to change \nMore Information \nLunch on the dock comes with a band in this town; what the evenings come with is all on the Morro Bay events calendar.

SUMMARY:Love of Nature Exhibit at Art Center Morro Bay
DESCRIPTION:Love of Nature at Art Center Morro Bay\nArt Center Morro Bay hangs its fall exhibit\, Love of Nature\, from September 17 through November 2 at 835 Main St\, the downtown gallery with the Rock mural on its wall. The subject is the one every local lives inside and every visitor drives Highway 1 to find: the ocean\, the bay\, the marshes\, the mountains\, and the plants and wildlife of the Central Coast\, seen through the individual styles of the region’s artists. \nExpect familiar scenes rendered with personal feeling\, alongside imaginative and abstract takes that treat the coastline as a starting point rather than a postcard. The range is the point. One wall might hold the estuary at low tide in careful detail while the next abstracts the same water into color and motion\, and the show rewards moving slowly enough to notice how differently each artist answers the same landscape. In a fast-moving stretch of the year\, a room full of work about tidelines\, back-bay light\, and coastal wildlife is a standing invitation to slow down. \nAn opening reception runs Sunday\, September 21\, from 2 to 4 PM\, the best chance to meet the artists whose names hang beside the work. The Art Center has anchored this corner of Main Street since the Morro Bay Art Association formed in 1951\, still volunteer-run and still mounting a full slate of exhibits each year\, and a stop here pairs naturally with the galleries and shops within a couple of blocks. \nAutumn fills in fast around town; the rest of the season’s openings\, music\, and outings are gathered on the event calendar. \nImage: Ken Christensen

SUMMARY:🍿 Weekend Special: The Witches at the Bay Theatre
DESCRIPTION:The Bay Theatre screens Nicolas Roeg’s The Witches as a one-showing Halloween matinee.\nRoald Dahl’s kid-friendly spook show gets the single screen for one Halloween afternoon: Anjelica Huston and her massive coven convene at a seaside hotel\, and a small boy has to avoid being seen\, heard\, or turned into a mouse by her child-eating mavens. Nicolas Roeg\, better known for grown-up art films\, made something families can enjoy and recoil from in equal measure\, and a 1:00 PM showtime on Halloween itself leaves the whole evening for trick-or-treating. Rated PG\, 1 hour 31 minutes\, $10\, and the theatre’s Weekend Special before The Social Reckoning takes the evening. \n \nWhere: Bay Theatre\, 464 Morro Bay Blvd\, Morro Bay\nWhen: Saturday\, October 31\, 2026; doors 12:30 PM\, film 1:00 PM\, one showing only\nWho: Bay Theatre Weekend Specials\nCost: $10\nGood to know: Costumes welcome; The Social Reckoning plays the regular 4:15 and 7:00 PM slots the same day \nMore Information \nA matinee of witches\, then a night of them on the street; Halloween in Morro Bay is mapped on the Morro Bay events calendar.

SUMMARY:Nearby: 🎶 Schooners Halloween Party
DESCRIPTION:Schooners throws an all-day beachfront Halloween party in Cayucos\nIn Cayucos\, up the coast. Schooners marks Halloween with an all-day beachfront party on Saturday\, October 31\, three bands running from early afternoon into the night on the oceanfront patio above Cayucos Beach. It is the big seasonal blowout on the Beachside Live calendar\, an all-ages\, costume-friendly day that runs long past the usual weekend sets and turns the whole patio into a party with the ocean as the backdrop. \nThe music runs in three shifts across the day: 40# Feather open with an afternoon set from 1 to 4 PM\, Miracle Circuit take the early evening from 5 to 7\, and WAND close the night from 8 to 10. That is a full day of live music rather than the usual afternoon-and-evening pair\, so you can drop in for a costume-clad afternoon with the family or stay through for the late set\, or both. \nSchooners sits a few steps from the Cayucos Pier with the sand right there\, a full bar and menu on hand throughout. Cayucos is about ten minutes up Highway 1 from Morro Bay\, an easy drive for a Halloween day by the water. Wear the costume\, come early for patio seating\, and plan to stay a while. \nFor more Beachside Live shows and Nearby Happenings up and down the coast\, see what is coming up on the event calendar.

SUMMARY:🎶 Live Music: White Caps Halloween Concert at the Downtown Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:The White Caps play a Halloween concert at the Saturday farmers market\, costumes strongly encouraged on both sides of the music stands.\nHalloween lands on a Saturday this year\, so the Morro Bay White Caps bring their Halloween concert to the downtown farmers market: community brass and wind music with a seasonal playlist\, played outdoors among the produce stands while half the audience is in costume and\, historically\, so are a few of the players. It’s the easiest Halloween afternoon in town for families\, and it lines up neatly with the evening’s parties. \nWhere: Morro Bay Farmers Market\, Main Street\, downtown Morro Bay\nWhen: Saturday\, October 31\, 2026\, 2:30 to 5:30 PM\nWho: Morro Bay White Caps\nGood to know: The band plays past the market’s closing; the music continues on the street after the booths pack up \nMore Information \nA brass band in costume is the afternoon act; for the night’s tricks and treats\, the full Morro Bay events calendar has the map.

SUMMARY:🎶 Live Music: Molly Ringwald Project 80s Halloween Party at The Siren
DESCRIPTION:The Molly Ringwald Project throws an 80s Halloween bash at The Siren\nOn Main Street in Morro Bay. The Molly Ringwald Project throws an 80s Halloween party at The Siren on Saturday\, October 31\, doors at 8 PM and the show at 8:30. Tickets run $25 to $30 through the venue’s ticketing. Halloween on a Saturday plus the Central Coast’s busiest 80s party band is about as sure a bet as the fall calendar offers. \nThe band has kept a fully booked Central Coast schedule since 2012 on an 80s catalog that pulls dancers from 18 to 70\, the same act that headlined the town’s 4th of July festival stage this summer. On Halloween the formula gets its best possible setting: a costumed room\, a dance-floor venue\, and a songbook everyone knows by heart. Expect the synth hits\, the hair-metal singalongs\, and a costume contest’s worth of neon in the crowd. \nThe Siren is the Main Street room that carries most of Morro Bay’s live music\, small\, dark\, and close to the stage\, with the kitchen and full bar running through the night. The show is 21 and over per the venue’s evening policy. Halloween-on-a-Saturday shows sell out\, full stop\, so tickets ahead and an early arrival are both worth it. \nFor more Halloween happenings and dance nights around the bay\, see what is on the event calendar.
