Different player\, same policy: music with the meal\, no ticket\, no fuss. \nWhere: Tognazzini’s Dockside Too\, 1235 Embarcadero\, Morro Bay\nWhen: Daily\, 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM\, through December 31 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas; some days one act plays straight through the afternoon)\nGood to know: All seating is outdoors and first come; the patio is dog friendly; schedule provided by the venue and subject to change \nMore Information \nLunch on the dock comes with a band in this town; what the evenings come with is all on the Morro Bay events calendar.

SUMMARY:Love of Nature Exhibit at Art Center Morro Bay
DESCRIPTION:Love of Nature at Art Center Morro Bay\nArt Center Morro Bay hangs its fall exhibit\, Love of Nature\, from September 17 through November 2 at 835 Main St\, the downtown gallery with the Rock mural on its wall. The subject is the one every local lives inside and every visitor drives Highway 1 to find: the ocean\, the bay\, the marshes\, the mountains\, and the plants and wildlife of the Central Coast\, seen through the individual styles of the region’s artists. \nExpect familiar scenes rendered with personal feeling\, alongside imaginative and abstract takes that treat the coastline as a starting point rather than a postcard. The range is the point. One wall might hold the estuary at low tide in careful detail while the next abstracts the same water into color and motion\, and the show rewards moving slowly enough to notice how differently each artist answers the same landscape. In a fast-moving stretch of the year\, a room full of work about tidelines\, back-bay light\, and coastal wildlife is a standing invitation to slow down. \nAn opening reception runs Sunday\, September 21\, from 2 to 4 PM\, the best chance to meet the artists whose names hang beside the work. The Art Center has anchored this corner of Main Street since the Morro Bay Art Association formed in 1951\, still volunteer-run and still mounting a full slate of exhibits each year\, and a stop here pairs naturally with the galleries and shops within a couple of blocks. \nAutumn fills in fast around town; the rest of the season’s openings\, music\, and outings are gathered on the event calendar. \nImage: Ken Christensen

SUMMARY:🎶 Live Music: Afternoon Sets at Dockside Too
DESCRIPTION:The afternoon set carries Tognazzini’s Dockside Too patio from 3:00 PM to closing time\, daily.\nWhen the lunch player packs up\, the afternoon act takes over\, 3:00 PM to close\, and plays the harbor toward sunset. Closing time is 7:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday through October\, then an hour earlier in winter\, which means the last set of the day ends with the light going gold behind the Rock more often than not. \nMichael Campbell practically owns the Thursday and Friday close\, Donny Rugebregt holds Tuesdays\, and the rest of the week rotates through Out of the Blue\, Jamie Penneley\, Matt Brown\, Roger Perry\, Ben Cooke\, Cristal Ship\, Peter Emerson\, Bill Reiland\, and company. SUMMARY:🍿 Monday Special: Pan's Labyrinth 20th Anniversary with Doug Jones at the Bay Theatre
DESCRIPTION:The Central Coast Film Society celebrates Pan’s Labyrinth’s 20th anniversary at the Bay Theatre with creature actor Doug Jones in person.\nThe film society’s spooky-season fundraiser lands its biggest get yet: Doug Jones\, the man inside both the Faun and the Pale Man\, joins the Bay Theatre for a screening of Guillermo del Toro’s 2006 masterpiece\, followed by an intimate onstage conversation hosted by Monse Gutierrez. Twenty years on\, the adult fairy tale of a girl in 1944 Francoist Spain who meets a faun promising she’s a princess\, if she survives three tasks\, remains one of the most visually breathtaking and emotionally harrowing films of its century\, and seeing it with the creature himself in the room is a once-in-a-town-history kind of Monday. VIP tickets add a meet-and-greet with an event-exclusive autographed print; every tier supports the Central Coast Film Society. \nDoug Jones is the actor genre fans know best for the characters he plays from inside the makeup: the Faun and the Pale Man in Pan’s Labyrinth\, Abe Sapien in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army\, the Amphibian Man in The Shape of Water\, Billy Butcherson in Hocus Pocus\, the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer\, plus Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Falling Skies. Hosting the conversation is Monse Gutierrez\, the film and horror creator whose interviews include Guillermo del Toro\, Willem Dafoe\, and M. Night Shyamalan\, with coverage credits at Cannes\, Sundance\, and TIFF; a del Toro collaborator in conversation with a del Toro interviewer is about as on-theme as a Q&A gets. \n \nWhere: Bay Theatre\, 464 Morro Bay Blvd\, Morro Bay\nWhen: Monday\, October 19\, 2026; film 5:30 PM\, with entry by ticket tier: VIP 4:15 PM\, Early Admission 5:00 PM\, Movie Only 5:15 PM\nWho: Central Coast Film Society\, with guest of honor Doug Jones and host Monse Gutierrez\nWhy: Proceeds benefit the Central Coast Film Society\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit\nCost: From $15; three ticket tiers\, details below\nGood to know: Concessions run until the credits roll; no recording of the screen; all sales final \nTicket options (all plus processing fees): \n\nVIP Admission\, $45: early entry at 4:15 PM\, the Meet and Greet with Doug Jones\, an event-exclusive autographed art print\, one free beer or wine\, and two raffle tickets.\nEarly Admission\, $25: entry at 5:00 PM\, one free beer or wine\, and one raffle ticket.\nMovie Only\, $15: entry at 5:15 PM for the screening and the Q&A with Doug Jones.\n\nPlease note: Pan’s Labyrinth is rated R for graphic violence and language.
